Shania Brewster is a proud Indigenous woman with a strong voice, a global perspective, and a determination to make a real difference in the construction industry. Well-travelled and driven, she returned to Australia with an open mind and quickly found herself working as a site clerk on construction projects across Darwin.
It was on these worksites that she first encountered Brendan and Andrew from PRSNT in action — and everything changed. Shania saw that there was more to construction than paperwork and logistics. She saw the impact that proactive, boots-on-the-ground safety professionals could have, and made the decision to pursue a career in WHS.
When PRSNT opened applications for a Trainee WHS Advisor, Shania was ready. With firsthand experience in the environments the team supports and a genuine passion for helping people, she was a natural fit. Since joining the team, she’s hit the ground running, already making a strong impression on sites and with clients.
Shania is currently completing her Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety through Charles Darwin University and is already over halfway through the program. With PRSNT’s structured training pathway and mentoring from experienced professionals, she’s on track to become a highly capable and qualified safety advisor — with real-world insight and a strong cultural lens.
Her presence is already being felt. Shania is not only making a positive impact at PRSNT but also contributing to broader cultural and professional diversity in the construction safety space. Her growth reflects the future of the industry — inclusive, skilled, and people-focused.
We’re proud to have Shania onboard and excited to support her journey as she becomes a qualified, hands-on safety professional.
